Allianz Vero Volley Milan comes out defeated in the last act of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa 2024. Lubian and Haak attack hard, Castillo holds in reception and defense but Milan cannot find the right gear in this first set (20-13). Orro è excellent on serve with her first ace of the match, Egonu takes the right tempo for monster block (21-15). The last points are in the hands of Egonu: splendid lungolinea and short ball of 21-24, before Conegliano's hitting error delivers the set in Milan&#39s hands.
 
Conegliano immediately clicks into high gear at the beginning of the third set, putting a 5-point gap against the Milanese (6-1). Milan relies on the attacks of its powerhouses Heyrman-Rettke, but Santarelli’s team accelerates violently, touching +6 (10-4). Gaspari calls back to sé her girls for a time-out. Allianz Vero Volley Milano accrues fatigue and becomes less clear-headed, committing a few inaccuracies in attack and reception that send the opponents up 13-10. Conegliano goes up on match point after a line touch whistled to Milan. On the next action, the same infraction spotted by the line judge handed the victory to Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano 15-10. MVP of the match was the setter of Imoco, Joanna Wolosz.
