Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori win doubles in Buenos Aires

Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori captured their first doubles trophy by winning the Argentina Open (Atp 250 with a prize pool of $642,6215) held on the Buenos Aires clay court.

In the final, the 38-year-old from Budrio and the 28-year-old from Turin, third favorites in the seeding and finalists at the last Australian Open, won 6-2 7-6, in one hour and forty minutes of play, over the No. 1 seeded pair of Spaniard Marcel Granollers and Argentine Horacio Zeballos.

Today’s for Bolelli-Vavassori è the first title out of four finals played together (previously they lost the ones in Halle and Umag in 2023, and the one at the recent Australian Open).tennis
