Jannik Sinner: Alcaraz coach’s confession
Carlos Alcaraz’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, in an interview with Marca spoke about the Murcia champion’s excellent relationship with one of his biggest rivals, Jannik Sinner. "It's not easy to have a relationship like that, because he's one of your biggest rivals or your biggest rival. The more you play, the more defeats you suffer that can hurt, and so it’s not è easy to keep this relationship super healthy and super good for both of you. Carlos sees the things that Jannik does well and vice versa, they will feed off each other and try to raise their level".
Ferraro praised the growth of the South Tyrolean tennis player: "He's an example of professionalism" in many ways, in the last two years he has achieved his goals. Two years ago he was playing with lots of diagonals, few muffed shots, going to the net less…he has invested in expanding his repertoire of shots and growing tactically. His serve è also improved a lot, these are clear signs, these are goals that his team is helping him achieve".
"We knew he was growing, when he won his Masters 1000 everyone knew he was very close to getting his first Grand Slam. Now he has found the right confidence and è an important rival to watch".
