Vincenzo Italiano’s words ahead of Maccabi Haifa-Fiorentina

After the scoreless draw in the last round of the championship against Torino, Fiorentina è awaits the first act of the Conference League round of 16 against Maccabi Haifa. On the eve of the encounter with the Israeli outfit, the Tuscans’ coach Vincenzo Italiano, among other topics discussed in the press conference, did not hide his ambition and desire to redeem the defeat in the final in the previous edition against West Ham.

"This è the third year of the competition and offers teams of a certain value. There are many clubs equipped to go all the way and the difficulties will increase. Last year we had a good run, forò in this edition we want to repeat the ride and bring home the trophy, although we know that it will beà very complicated" began the Fiorentina coach.

"We will face a team that comes from the Europa League and has been able to put all its opponents in difficulty. We will have to take the field without disrespecting them and trying to trouble them with what we know how to do in the hope of getting a good result ahead of the return leg. Although we will play on a neutral field they will be able to count on the support of a lot of fans, so I expect a tough and difficult match" continued the'former coach of Spezia.

"In the last few days we have performed well. We could have done something more away, but we are coming back from the great performance against Lazio and some matches played with a different technical level and efficiency than in January. Now we need to find more continuity, and this will lead us to good results in the league, the conference and the Italian Cup. If we can raise the level of performance I am convinced that we can take a lot of satisfaction" added the coach of the Tuscans.

"Right now the Premier has some advantage over everyone, given by the intensity". This è proved, è a spectacle on the field and also for the side. The Serie A è however, of a good level, we are growing and last year we took three teams to the finals in the cups. We can still improve" concluded Vincenzo Italiano regarding the comparison between the English and Italian leagues.
