NBA, first stop for Boston after 11 straight wins
The Cavs thank a super performance by Wade: 20 points in the last period
Coming off 11 straight wins and the best team in the league, Boston falls against Cleveland. The Celtics even get to a comforting +22 but the Cavs do not lose heart and come back, dragged by Wade (23 points including 20 in the last period). It ends 105-104 in favor of Cleveland with a 34-17 partial in favor of the Cavs in the last, decisive 12 minutes of the game.
Also Phoenix’s big hit, which managed to get the better of Denver after an overtime (117-107 the final). All-star performance by Durant, who put up 35 points, including the triple that won the overtime. On the other side, Jokic finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds but failed to finish, in regulation, that would have given his Nuggets the victory.
In the other games, Miami beats Detroit (118-110, 22 points by Fontecchio). Atlanta overcame New York (116-100) while Orlando got the better of its challenge with Charlotte (101-89). Philadelphia surrenders to Brooklyn (112-107). Indiana tames Dallas (137-120, Doncic’s triple-double not enough). Badly Toronto, overwhelmed by New Orleans (139-98 the final). San Antonio also falls (114-101 in favor of Houston).
