Massimiliano Allegri explains the difficult moment

In the middle of the race for the Scudetto until mid-January, Juventus è stumbled into a series of negative results that allowed the Inter team to run away at the top of the standings: specifically, in the last six matches the Bianconeri have collected one win (against Frosinone), two draws (Empoli and Hellas Verona) and three defeats (Inter, Udinese and Napoli).

Allegri: "Let’s try to end the season at our best"

In the press conference in which Massimiliano Allegri presented Sunday&#39s home match at 6 p.m. against Atalanta, the Livorno coach explained: "We are unhappy about the points lost in this period. However, the goal of this season remains to finish among the top four, we had to arrive in March in the best condition and from the standpoint of the standings we are there. Let us try to end the season in the best possible way, we are also in the semifinals of the Italian Cup".

"We tried to lot for the Scudetto,” Allegri added, “but the results of the last month force us to abandon this ambition. What è went wrong? We are in a period of change, there's been a long turnover after nine extraordinary years: there are so many teams fighting up front, it&#39s not easy".

"Recover solidityà defensive",

the Livorno technician concludes.

One of the alarm bells of the last few days è attention in defense: in fact, Juve has conceded two goals in each of the last three matches played. "If every time you go down the field you get two goals, then è it is difficult to score. I was more worried against Verona and Frosinone, we gave the impression that we could take goals at any time. With Napoli è it was different, we did better, although two goals also came. With Atalanta we will have to show that we have regained defensive solidity".

After twenty-seven days of the championship, Juventus è second in the standings with 57 points, 15 less than Inter: before the home draw with Empoli (and the subsequent period-no), the Bianconeri had even one point moreù than the Nerazzurri, who at the time had one game less (and, therefore, would have been "only" at +2).
