Lisa Vittozzi at the foot of the podium
Lisa Vittozzi fourth
Lisa Vittozzi è fourth in the sprint in Soldier Hollow, United States, won by Justine Braisaz Bouchet with 13″4 margin over overall leader Ingrid Tandrevold and 19″2 over’other Frenchman Lou Jeanmonnot.
In a race swept by a strong and often variable wind, of the top six in the standings only Braisaz-Bouchet è allowed herself a shooting error, in the ground session. Despite this, the transalpine was able to win her third win of the season in the discipline to shorten the gap to Tandrevold in the overall standings and move up to second place at the expense of Vittozzi herself, who climbs to third place.
The Sappadine did not make mistakes in the shooting, but especially in the ground range she had to slow down the cadence of shots to wait for the ideal wind window. Even so; they took shape the 29″1 delay from Braisaz-Bouchet: the fourth place represents a good springboard for the chase scheduled for Sunday, March 10.
A good 19th place for Michela Carrara (0-2) who makes two mistakes in the standing range and pays a delay of 1’51″5 from Braisaz-Bouchet; behind her Samuela Comola (0-1) è 25th detached by 2’04″3 with Hannah Auchentaller (2-1) paying 2’34″5, 35th followed by Beatrice Trabucchi (0-2), 39th. Out of the points zone Rebecca Passler (0-2), 53rd at 3’11″9, still qualified for the chase.
Thus, after the Soldier Hollow sprint, Tandrevold leads the overall with 934 points followed by Braisaz-Bouchet (845) and Vittozzi (816), with Julia Simon fourth at 798 ahead of Jeanmonnot (738).There are four individual races remaining at the end of the season.
