MotoGp Qatar: Jorge Martin on pole, Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez on second row
Jorge Martin in pole position in Qatar
It's Jorge Martin's first pole position of the season, that of the Qatar Grand Prix, as far as the MotoGp class is concerned. The Spaniard of Prima Pramac Racing, riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP24, stopped the stopwatch, in his best lap, on'1:50.789, ahead of the Aprilia of Aleix Espargaró by 83 thousandths and the Ducati, of the official team, of Enea Bastianini by 86 thousandths.
In fourth position scatterà instead Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), crashed in the final Q2 but still able to achieve the fourth best time, stopping just over a tenth from Martin. Completing the second row are two big names of the caliber of Pecco Bagnaia (official Ducati), fifth at 139 thousandths behind Martin, and Marc Marquez (Gresini racing), sixth at 172 thousandths.
Third row for Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro V46 Racing, Ducati), rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) and Marc Marquez’s brother nonché teammate, Alex. On the fourth row, Maverick Viñales (Aprilia), Jack Miller (KTM) and Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse Racing, Aprilia) will start instead.
Out of Q2 the other Italians: will start 15th Marco Bezzecchi (VR46), while Luca Marini (Honda) and Franco Morbidelli (Ducati Pramac) will go to close the starting grid. The Sprint Race è scheduled at 5 p.m. Italian time on Saturday, while the GP will be held on Sunday when it will be 6 p.m. in Italy.
