Saturday uphill for Marco Bezzecchi

It's been a first part of Saturday with two faces for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team: if on the one hand there is the good seventh place of Fabio Di Giannantonio in his first race in the team founded by Valentino Rossi, on the other hand there's a Marco Bezzecchi in difficulty, out of Q2 and forced to start from fifteenth place on the grid.

'Bez' does not lose heart: "We can recover"

"It wasn&#39t a great qualifying – admitted 'Bez' to the team&#39s official channels -: I lost direct access to Q2 by a few tenths, then in Q1 I wasn&#39t perfect. I made a step forward overall, but I still don&#39t drive as well as I would like. The feeling was definitely better, but a mechanical problem in the second run prevented me from improving my best".

The rider from Romagna does not want to però lose heart in a still long weekend, between Saturday’s sprint race and Sunday’s race: "Nothing è lost – said Bezzecchi, back from the third place finish in the MotoGp World Championship 2023 -, it will beà a really tough race and we can recover some positions".

The smile of Fabio Di Giannantonio

There'è instead, a much wider smile on the face of Fabio Di Giannantonio: "I am happy, the first qualifying of the year is never easy – said the Roman driver -. I went down to 51.00 and I am satisfied, a good step forward compared to the test by 4 tenths. A small regret for the second run of Q2: I didn’t have a great feeling in the rear, maybe è it was a gamble to mount the soft in front. I am looking forward to the Sprint, it will be really a battle".

'Diggia' è at his first race in the VR46 team: in the previous two seasons he raced for the Gresini Racing team, taking a success, just in Qatar, in the race that last year represented the penultimate round of the season, while this year goes to inaugurate it.
