Milano-Sanremo, Tadej Pogacar paws: "It's the mostù difficult"
The Milano-Sanremo kicks off from Pavia on Saturday, and Tadej Pogacar is looking forward to the first Classic of the season, the Monument race that he hasn't yet managed to win. The Slovenian star is coming off a resounding victory at the Strade Bianche and is counting on an encore at the helm of the UAE Emirates team.
"I could not have asked for a better start to the year than at Strade Bianche. The team is racing well and getting good results, so we want to stay on this path and move forward", Pogacar explained in the team’s press note.
"I am excited about Milan-San Remo. The’arrival isn’t too far from where I live in Monaco, so I know the’last part of the race and the final climbs" quite well.
The Milan-San Remo è always eluded him in the past: "As we have seen in the past, this race è one of the most difficult to win and it canè lead to many results. We will definitely make a plan and put ourselves in the best possible position. È a race that we would very much like to win". On Instagram Pogacar posted a photo on the Poggio: the two-time Tour de France winner è more determined than ever.
