Davis Cup 2024, group stage venues announced

The ITF has announced that the four cities that will host the group stage of the 2024 Davis Cup will be Bologna, Manchester, Valencia and Zhuhai. The group stage will take place Sept. 10-15 and will involve 16 teams that will play for a spot in the Malaga Finals set for Nov. 19-24.

As already happened in 2022 and 2023, the group stage will be held according to the round robin format with the top two teams in each group qualifying for the knockout Finals (eight teams in the field) from which the name of the future world champions will emerge.

Three of the four citiesà venues have put on incredible shows putting up record numbers, and we are also delighted to bring the Davis Cup to China for the first time, a location that fits well with the commitments of the players involved returning from the post-Us Open Asian swing. We can't wait for it to start".

The 16 teams that will take part in the group stage of the Davis Cup are: Italy (defending champion), Australia (finalist), Great Britain (wild card), Spain (wild card). The winners of the qualifiers: Argentina, Belgium , Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Slovakia and the United States.

Bologna (Unipol Arena) and Valencia (Pabellon Fuente de San Luis) are confirmed as citiesà venues for the third consecutive year, while for Manchester it is the second year. Zhuhai's Hengqin International Center will instead host the event for the first time. The draw for the group stage will take place on Tuesday, March 19 at the London offices of the ITF and will be streamed live on the official Davis Cup website and its social media channels.
