Six Nations 2024: Italy made for Wales

Italy goes to Wales to end its Six Nations of rugby without Ange Capuozzo: the Italian fullback, after undergoing instrumental examinations in the week after the match played against Scotland, suffered a fracture of the middle phalanx of the third finger of his left hand that will not allow him to be available.

Gonzalo Quesada, coach of rugby Italy, has made official the lineup that will face Wales at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. local (3:15 p.m. Italian time) in the fifth and final round of the Guinness Six Nations 2024, a match that will be broadcast live on Sky Sport 1 and free-to-air on TV8.

Unseen wide triangle formed by Pani – returning to the starting XV after the first two days of the Six Nations – Lynagh and Ioane. Pair of centers confirmed with Brex and Menoncello, while the keys of the middle will be entrusted to Paolo Garbisi and Varney, the latter in goal against Scotland in the previous round won by Italy 31-29.

Third line Lorenzo Cannone returns to wear the number 8 jersey with captain Lamaro and Negri completing the third line department. In the second line Niccolò Cannone and Ruzza, while in the first line Ferrari, Nicotera and Fischetti are confirmed. Canali, Ceccarelli, Gesi, Izekor, Mori will also not start with the team.
