The words of Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner gave an interesting press conference in Indian Wells "There’s not a big difference from the past from the mental point of view. I am simply happy to compete. I love to play in front of the audience, and that è what makes me enjoy it. I am definitely in a different position now, but I am happy to put myself out there every time. In my mind there’è always a new challenge, a new opponent: I have to be very careful, è this is what I try to focus on".

Inevitable question about Djokovic’s record of 41 wins in a row: "I was just ten years old, and actually I didn’t follow tennis because I used to ski a lot more, and I also played soccer. Now I know my own statistics, but you can’t compare them with those of the best, with the Big 3 or Big 4. They are at a different level than what they have shown over the years. I am simply writing my own story. When I was about 16 years old, I started watching tennis because I was trying to become a professional tennis player, I tried to learn by watching matches”.

The next rival will be Alcaraz on Saturday in the semifinals: "È always fun to play against Carlos. We are good friends but on the court we just try to give 100 percent and usually good matches come out. Last year against him, especially here on this court, I struggled a lot and he played much better than I did. But then two weeks later in Miami I beat him. Between us è it’s like that. Our rivalryà pushed us to grow and improve".
