Milan, Olivier Giroud to farewells: alreadyà identified the replacement

Olivier Giroud towards a farewell to AC Milan in the summer: according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the French striker, whose contract expires in June with the Rossoneri, seems definitively convinced to move to Major League Soccer in the United States. The final choice will be made in May, but Giroud seems now decided to leave to play in the league where Lionel Messi already plays: New York or Los Angeles should be the two hypotheses for the Bleus forward.

Milan knows this and is already planning for the future: the dream remains Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna. A complicated negotiation becauseé Bayern Munich has the possibilityé to take him back for 40 million euros, and becauseé there are other European clubs on the player including Inter and Juventus.

The first alternative è Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko: again, a significant amount of money will need to be invested. Alternatives such as Viktor Gyökeres (Sporting) and Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord) also cost money.

Giroud, at AC Milan from 2021, scored 46 goals in 119 games between league and cups with AC Milan, winning the Scudetto in 2022.
