Milan-Inter toward postponement Monday night
Series A, schedule
In the championship finale, with Inter's victory looking more and more likely, the Milan derby could assume a crucial role in the awarding of the Scudetto. Currently, Inter commands the standings with a 14-point lead over second place occupied by Milan. Should this difference remain intact or be reduced to a maximum of 13 points before the derby, then the Nerazzurri could win the title on that very occasion, obtaining the coveted second star.
Before the derby, AC Milan will face Roma in the Europa League quarterfinals on the previous Thursday, April 18, at the Stadio Olimpico at 9 p.m. To avoid match overload for the Rossoneri, the Milan derby could be postponed to the following Monday, April 22. Roma, engaged at home against Bologna, will also see its match slipped to Monday, with kickoff at 6:30 p.m.
Official confirmation of details regarding the match scheduling for the 33rd day will be released by the Lega Serie A on Wednesday.
