Convincing victory for Carmine Nunziata’s Italy Under 21, which at the Dino Manuzzi stadium in Cesena beat the equal age team of Latvia 2-0, maintaining the first place in Group A of qualification for the European Championships in 2025.
Azzurrini took the lead at 32’ with Casadei, who in a half-footed shot collected a cross from the right by Zanotti and beat Latvian goalkeeper Beks.
After Gnonto and Fabbian missed two big chances to double already in the first half, in the second half, after a post hit by Miretti at 51’, è it was Fabbian who secured the result with a winning left-footed shot at 79’.
