Viktor Gyokeres, Milan is serious about it
Milan, soccer market
Milan is thinking about a big investment to reinforce its attack. Bologna’s Zirkzee è has been one of the hottest names in recent weeks, but Sportmediaset is betting big on Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres, already on the Rossoneri radar even if he hasn’t been on the top of the priority list.
Born in 1998, Gyokeres has already scored 36 goals in 39 games this season, attracting attention in the last few hours after his Sweden’s friendly against Portugal. During that match, he exchanged hugs and words with Rafa Leao, the author of the first goal:
"Leao è a fantastic player and I admire his work. We talked a little bit’ but nothing special. He just told me that I did well and I told him that he did not do bad" either, Gyokeres told in post-match interviews.
Gyokeres remarkable season has obviously attracted the attention of other clubs, mainly from the Premier League, and his €100 million clause could discourage potential buyers. His current club forò could let him leave for a more affordable sum, perhaps around 50 million euros, which seems to be the budget Milan has in mind.
