Carlos Sainz, dad reveals secret of triumph

Carlos Sainz Senior, father of the Ferrari driver who è won in the  Australian GP, the third round of the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship, can only be happy for his son, who had appendicitis surgery just two weeks ago: "Life always brings you surprises. Carlos fought very hard all week in order to be here. Then, once he arrived, he took the’opportunity’ and fought for a grand finale“.

"He è underwent two hyperbaric chamber sessions every day in Madrid, with the’Indiba and the physical therapist. He made it through. The only thing we did è was support him; but è he who has to turn the wheel and accelerate", added the legendary rally driver.

"The race è was tough but of course I’m very happy and proud of the whole team -the Ferrarista’s first warm words-. I’m happy to have won in front of Charles, it shows how much work we have done. Life è really crazy: first the podium in Bahrain, then the’appendicitis, the comeback, this victory… è really a roller coaster, but I am so happy".
