Matteo Politano locks in at Napoli: “I love the team and the city”
Words of love impossible to misunderstand toward the club that made him champion of Italy.
Matteo Politano is armored at Napoli, a few months away from renewing his contract with the Azzurri. The Roman striker, who right in Campania è graduated champion d'Italia, has made it clear that he is very well not only in his current team but also in the city. And therefore that he has no plans to change air in the future either.
"I am in love with Naples,” Politano said in an interview granted to the club's official channels.
There's the sea, and I love it. I like the city, I find it very beautiful and also quite small since I am used to Rome. To go downtown you can move around easily, and you can enjoy it when you have a day off. In other cities, however, you need a change of scenery. Then there are so many places to visit, in four years I still haven’t finished".
Politano’s confirmation in azzurro è came during the Italian Super Cup, when he turned down an offer from Al-Shabab to stay with Napoli for another two years. He signed a contract until 2027, with a salary of 3.2 million euros per season with performance-related bonuses.
