John Raineri loses four in one fell swoop
Bad tegola for Giovanni Raineri, coach of the national women’s rugby team, who will have to do without as many as four players for the upcoming matches of the Guinness Women’s Six Nations 2024. Michela Sillari (Valsugana Rugby Padova, 83 caps), substituted at 15’ of the first half of the match with England, suffered a fracture of the right tibial plateau. She will undergo surgery and will not be available for the continuation of the Tournament.
Giulia Cavina (CUS Milano Rugby, 5 caps), substituted at the 23’ of the second half of the match with England, suffered a dislocation of the right wrist with injury of the scapho-lunate ligament and scaphoid requiring surgery. The’athlete will not be available for the continuation of the Tournament.
Elisa Giordano (Valsugana Rugby Padova, 65 caps) suffered a grade II injury of the medial gastrocnemius muscle in her right leg in training. The athlete is following the physiotherapy recovery protocol. His condition will be monitored constantly and evaluated later.
