During halftime of the Olimpia Milano-Virtus Bologna big match, scheduled for April 5, Mason Rocca, who was recently inducted into the biancorosso club’s Hall of Fame, will be celebrated. Mason Rocca è was the symbol of four years of Olimpia, the first of the Armani era, from 2008 to 2012, in which the team did not win but built the foundation needed to emerge in the future. A player who è remained in the hearts of so many AX fans.
A player of enormous generosity; he always carried within himself the Olimpia spirit in a special way. A player who always gave everything for the jersey who always put the team’s interest before his own. For this, Rocca has a special place among the greats in Olimpia history, è he was the first “great” of the Armani era.
Mason Rocca, a Chicago native, è was captain of Olimpia, won an Italian Cup in Naples in 2006 and played the 2006 World Cup with Italy, making history for his heroic stand against Yao Ming, the great star of the Chinese national team and the NBA. He now lives in Chicago and è principal of Baker Demonstration School.
