Inter: eyes on a Viola outfielder if Dumfries leaves
Calciomercato Inter: the Nerazzurri are on the hunt for an outfielder, given the likely departure of Denzel Dumfries in the summer. The Dutch right flanker, in fact, has a contract expiring in 2025 and renewal negotiations are complicated. To avoid losing him at zero, Inter is already moving for the next market session.
In particular, according to reports from 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the ideal replacement identified by Marotta and Ausilio è Michael Kayode, a right-back class of 2004 owned by Fiorentina. Born in Borgomanero (Novara), he spent 2014-2018 in the youth sector of Juventus, which then released him. After three years at Gozzano, in 2021 è moved to Fiorentina, with whom he won an Italian Cup and two Super Cups with the Primavera team, led by Aquilani.
His breakthrough è came last summer, when a header from him gave Italy the Under-19 European Championship against Portugal. He made his debut in the first team and signed a significant first contract, going from a salary of 30 thousand euros to one of 400 thousand, reaching one million in the last year.
The deal promises to be complicated, as Fiorentina è known not to give discounts, but Inter seems determined and could offer young talent as a technical quid pro quo to get Kayode. Gifted with great physicality and stamina, he can play multiple roles on the flank, having also played as a high outside left back in the youth ranks.
