Sinner wins in Miami

Jannik Sinner’s triumphant march, briefly interrupted in Indian Wells with Carlos Alcaraz, è resumed in a big way and Sunday, at Hard Rock Stadium, è came for him the’affirmation in the Miami Open.

Nothing to do for Grigor Dimitrov, who also in Florida had eliminated the Spanish outfielder, but in the last act had to give in to the overwhelming power of the’Alto Adige.

Sinner è won in two sets (6-3, 6-1) over the Bulgarian, who after wasting a break point in the first partial è fell under the blows of the younger rival. In the final in Miami Jannik had lost in two sets to both Hurkacz in 2021 and Medvedev in 2023.

Double mission accomplished for Sinner,  who took the court with two goals in mind: to win the Miami Masters 1000 and, as a result, complete the overtaking of Alcaraz and move up to No. 2 in the Atp rankings.
