Adriano Panatta crowns Jannik Sinner and expounds on Novak Djokovic’s future
On the sidelines of the "Banca Generali" event, former Italian champion Adriano Panatta, at the microphones of "SportMediaset", dwelt on Jannik SInner’s extraordinary growth path and achievements in this early season. In addition, the Rome native also è commented on the future of Novak Djokovic.
"Jannik is having a wonderful time both technically and in terms of results. In recent months he has absolutely turned his tennis around and his hard work has allowed him to take a lot of satisfaction. I believe he is now the man to beat" began the former Italian tennis player.
"Regardless of the Ranking or the logic behind the rankings, right now I think Sinner is the strongest in the world. And all his opponents, including Djokovic and Alcaraz, know it perfectly well. Every time he enters the court he gives the impression that he cannot lose. Currently, I do not see any players who can impeach him" continued the Rome native.
"We will also have to see how Djokovic will get to the clay court season, because he is now 37 years old and I don’t know how long he can continue playing at this level. He will measure himself mainly at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Olympics, which are his three main goals, and then he will evaluate his future" added the blue pundit.
"If he returned to the top ten it would be a great result for Berrettini, meanwhile è comforting that he won in Marrakech on a surface that is not è the most congenial for his characteristics" commented Adriano Panatta on Matteo Berrettini’s return to success.
