After beating Ons Jabeur Jasmine Paolini praises Jannik Sinner

Jasmine Paolini signed yet another feat in this first part of 2024 by beating Tunisian Ons Jabeur, world number 9, on clay in Stuttgart. Here are the words of the Italian player, number 14 in the WTA rankings, reported by livetennis.it, in which she praises her opponent but also the draftee of Italian tennis Jannik Sinner.

“Today I really enjoyed facing one of the best players in the world, above all a very good person. And it’s great for our sport to see Ons compete at a high level. There’s a great atmosphere here in Stuttgart and I’m really happy to have won another match.”

“I’ve always loved the sport, in the past years I’ve played some very good matches but in the last year I’ve played a lot of matches all at once. Now I almost always put the ball on the court, although there is still some up and down. Anyway it’s great to be able to play at this level, it makes me really happy.”

“Jannik is great, he’s doing some ‘inhuman’ things. He is inspiring me, and like me also a lot of boys and girls who want to play tennis and this is very good for our country. If I can still improve, maybe on clay? Well, I hope so, I started well. Of course I enjoy playing on concrete but I feel like I’m not doing too bad on clay either.”
