SuperFinals, Turkish mission kicks off for Paola Egonu and teammates

The countdown è officially started, with just over 72h left before the’last big match of the 2023-2024 sports season. In fact, Sunday May 5 at 7 p.m. Italian time in Antalya (Turkey), Allianz Vero Volley Milan will play the 46th and last match of the season: the Super Final of CEV Champions League 2024, and will have as opponent, in an “derby” all-Italian, the’A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano.

So far 30 wins and 8 defeats in the season, including only two in the Champions League – against VakifBank Istanbul in the group stage and against Fenerbahce, except to tick off the passage of the round at the golden set against the Turks-, where the girls of Coach Gaspari will try to give themselves a historic first success.

Capitan Orro and companions, want to throw their hearts over the obstacle, to try to give their fans a title that would be unforgettable. Facing them forò will be Conegliano, which will present itself at the Super Final in Antalya with a handful of fierce former players, from central player Federica Squarcini to the slappers Kathryn Plummer and Alessia Gennari, eager to confirm themselves after the recent scudetto (sixth in a row, seventh in its history) obtained against Savino Del Bene Scandicci.

The Vero Volleyball will leave Friday morning destination Turkey, where in the afternoon (18.00-19.00) will conduct a training session, replicated then Saturday at 18.30. On Sunday from 12 to 1 p.m. finishing practice ahead of the final match scheduled for 8 p.m. (local time). Friday from 8 p.m. also scheduled photo shoot and social at the’hotel where the teams reside and Saturday from 11 to 11:30 a.m. media meeting with coaches and captains.
