Milan-Julen Lopetegui: harsh attack from Spain

Milan had for some time now identified Julen Lopetegui as the ideal candidate to replace Stefano Pioli. However, clear opposition from the vast majority of Rossoneri fans led to a gradual slowdown in negotiations until the decision was made to tack on other profiles. This abrupt turnaround by the Milanese club, però, would not have been viewed favorably by the Spanish media, which have bluntly contested the choice of the Rossoneri management.

"Big clubs do not give in to the fans, whoever comes in now will be worse than Lopetegui. Unfortunately, Milan lives from its past. It is not è typical of such an important club to give in to the blackmail of a handful of signatures with the draft contract on the table" these are the words written in "Marca".

As for the Spanish coach, as reported by 'Sky Sport', he would have already found a two-year agreement with West Ham. The main profiles followed by Milan, however, would be Paulo Fonseca of Lille and Sergio Conceiçao of Porto.
