Nikola Mirotic Mvp

The last day of the regular season gave us an unheard of name, although the acronym 'MVP' has been a constant in his career. Nikola Mirotic (EA7 Emporio Armani Milano) won the award for best player of the 30th round of the championship, surpassing in preferences opponents D'Angelo Harrison (NutriBullet Treviso) and Skylar Spencer (Openjobmetis Varese).

Winning to confirm the second place in the standings with the same record as the leader Virtus Segafredo Bologna; this is the goal of the team coached by coach Ettore Messina that on Sunday folded Vanoli Cremona at the last available moment thanks to the combo triple-stoppata targata Nicolò Melli. After three days in which he did not è take to the parquet – the last game played was the one against Dolomiti Energia Trentino on April 7 –, Nikola Mirotic è returned in great form sowing panic in the Cremonese defense, showing all the ease with which he knows how to play the game of basketball. The streak of seven consecutive victories put on by Olimpia Milano has seen more than once the number 33 close as a protagonist; this time forò he not only recorded his best game in the season, but he did it as a luxury sixth man impeccably managing energy and conclusions to the basket. In an 'offensive clinic' worthy of the best'scorer on the scene, the 21 minutes played by the 1991 class summed up accordingly: 25 points shooting with 2/4 from two (50%), 4/7 from three (57%) and 9/10 from the lunette (90%), the latter being the result of the 7 fouls he conceded along the contention; in addition, 3 rebounds and 1 rebounding also came, which allowed the Podgorica native to set his highest in Serie A Unipolsai with 27 in the evaluation voice.

EA7 Emporio Armani Milano's difficult start in the challenge against Vanoli Cremona took an initial turn with the entrance on the parquet of Nikola Mirotic, who made the Milanese offense aware of its quality; putting him in the statistics 6 points and 1 rebound; in the second quarter, however, he was able to take advantage of the middle minutes to work on the flanks of the hosts who were struggling to find the tangle after the guest partial. The third quarter saw him take the team on his shoulders to carry out the comeback mission: after more than 2' of fasting, Milan scored thanks to a triple by the Montenegrin who later made a basket in support and another bomb before leaving the court; that makes 8 points to balance and perfect parity between the two teams with just over 5' from the half-hour of play. The shot from behind the arc at the beginning of the fourth period bears the 1991’s own signature and is worth the 54-56 overtake, then Mirotic himself gets fouled and converts both shots from the lunette, pushing his team to a full possession lead; the last two points of his game still come on a stopped clock and are the ones that will propitiate – after the time-out called by coach Demis Cavina – Nicolò Melli’s victory triple.

In the fourth game in which he è started from the bench, Nikola Mirotic scored his second best scoring performance in Serie A UnipolSai with 25 points on the bench, just one length away from his career high Italian made against Generazione Vincente Napoli; it was the 13th game closed in double figures, the sixth consecutive and the third in which he put up at least 20 points. È arrived instead the maximum in his career in the evaluation datum: the 27 recorded against Vanoli Cremona è went to touch up the 25 with which he had closed the challenges – both lost – against Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro and Givova Scafati; in this case, the Montenegrin naturalized Spanish climbed the 20 mark in the evaluation datum for the seventh time in the season. In the streak of consecutive successes, the 1991 class’ averages are as follows: 19.8 points (57.1% from two, 46.6% from three and 84% from the line), 5.0 fouls taken, 4.0 rebounds and 21.8 rating in 26.3 miutes of usage; his season figures, on the other hand, read 16.6 points (55.9% from two, 42.7% from three and 87.3% from the line), 4.6 rebounds, 3.9 fouls taken and 17.8 rating in 24.2 minutes. Looking at the numbers alone, Mirotic leads his team’s ranking in points scored and rating.
