NBA Play-offs: Jalen Brunson stoic, New York flies 2-0
Brunson, though sore, scores 29 points, 14 in the last period
New York also wins the second act of the showdown with Indiana (130-121 the final) and moves to 2-0 in the series. Very complicated race for Knicks at Madison. Injuries get New York into trouble. Anunoby gets hurt and, in the second quarter, Brunson leaves the court. Luckily for Knicks fans, Brunson manages to get back on the court and drag his team to success.
In the second half, in fact, è Brunson makes the difference. New York relies on its All Star who responds in a big way. He scores 29 points, including 14 in the decisive fourth period. Also important were the contributions of DiVicenzo (28 points with 6/12 from three-point range) and Hart (19 points and 15 rebounds). Unlucky Anunoby, who was stopped by a strain in the third period when he had already scored 28 points.
In the Pacers’ house, Haliburton, after largely disappointing in Game 1, redeemed himself. His contribution to the match è amounted to 34 points and nine assists, with a fabulous 7/11 from three-point range. Unfortunately, not enough to allow Indiana to take home the second act of the series.
Very angry Carlisle, Indiana coach ejected in the end of the game for protests against the referees: "I am very disappointed with the referees becauseé the meter applied è was not uniform. I believe that even franchises like ours, with small markets, must have fair treatment".
