Stage winner and Pink Jersey Tadej Pogacar, immediately after the finish, said: "I am very happy with the feeling I had on the time trial bike. I haven’t raced one since last year’s world championships, but in the meantime I’ve been working a lot on it and I’m glad it paid off today"

"I started with an easier pace to get used to the bike, then I tackled the climb at full speed. It was a stretch more suitable for me than for Pippo [Ganna]. It won&#39t be like that in the next time trial. I know the finish in Prati di Tivo. It was the queen stage when I won theì at Tirreno-Adriatico two years ago, but this time è a stage of a Grand Giro" concluded Pogacar.
