Italy, Luciano Spalletti explains the summoning of Gianluca Scamacca
Soì the coach of the Italian national team, Luciano Spalletti, speaking on the sidelines of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity at the Coni, has his say on the summoning of Gianluca Scamacca to the next European championship.
"Scamacca? È Gasperini was very good, you can see that è a strong coach. The merits of the things he does are first of all Scamacca’s, then Gasperini’s. I from my point of view for what I saw I want a reaction. If you react I am happy. And è what I did. In this case something had to be said to him becauseé è a player with enormous potential and if he continues like this; we have at our disposal a strong footballer".
Then, responding to a question about a possible call-up of Cosenza striker Gennaro Tutino to expand the national team’s forward pool ahead of the European Championships, Spalletti added: "We have our own potential. I know Tutino well, I coached him at Napoli, I am pleased that he has shown what è his strength, forò while taking everyone into consideration, we have had potential available to us for some time".
So Spalletti praised Thiago Motta’s Bologna (even before today’s success with Napoli: ”One of the teams that expresses the best soccer è Bologna. That plays a soccer in which everyone can do a little bit of everything and you create that willingness to be more beautiful and consequently to be liked more by all those who love this sport". Then, on the state of Italian soccer, Spalletti stresses how "we are in almost all the European finals, by now we have arrived there, è that is our level of strength", he concludes.
