Djokovic’s defeat in Rome è a kissing assist for the blue

Jannik Sinner è fully focused on recovering from his hip injury. He is working hard at J Medical in Turin to return to full strength and participate in Roland Garros, a key event in his, so far, astonishing season. On the red clay of Paris, in fact, he could crown his great dream, which is to become No. 1 in the ATP ranking.

Actually, he could achieve it even without taking the court, especially if his direct opponents for the "first place" should make missteps. Nole Djokovic, the current world No. 1, is experiencing a delicate moment. His exit from the Internazionali d'Italia confirmed how the Serb is not in top physical shape. Without the points from the Roland Garros he won last year, Nole Djokovic will finish behind Jannik Sinner even if the Italian does not take the court in Paris.

Translated: Novak Djokovic absolutely must win the Paris tournament. reaching the final would not be enough. Not an easy situation for the current No. 1 who seems to be going through a period in which he struggles to give continuity to his results and, certainly, at Roland Garros he does not arrive at the best of his potential.

Jannik Sinner, however, must also watch out for Daniil Medvedev. The world No. 3, unlike the Serb, is doing great. Should he win the Rome Internationals and, subsequently, Roland Garros as well, he would have enough points to keep behind the Italian. That is, unless Jannik Sinner can recover to 100 percent and shine in Paris, winning the world No. 1 title on the court.
