The words of Marco Di Vaio

The Sporting Director of Bologna, Marco Di Vaio, è spoke today to Radio Serie A with RDS, starting with the future: “We prepare for next summer knowing that the market will be long, but with the idea of confirming as many players as possible with the will’to carry on this group that has a solid and strong foundation. The first step will be with the Coach who has brought this extraordinary group to prominence. We want to continue with the  extraordinary that the whole staff is doing in order to continue to do well and dream. On the market, I refer to what our administrator said a few weeks ago: we have always gone on the field with the mentality and the head to continue to do well despite the fact that people were talking about us more about the departures of players and coach rather than the results on the field. We are a companyà solid economically and with a huge human asset with clear plans and goals in mind. We have the willà to confirm ourselves in the Italian league and to compare ourselves with European realities having the support of our best players. We know that the market è particular and there are always many novelties”.

"After the first period (the first three games of the Thiago Motta management saw us with only one point collected) things were not easy but we saw the Thiago coach and the Thiago man how he worked and how he tried to build the team’s identity and we liked him a lot. We realized that he needed a little bit more time to figure out how to take the guys and to twist something. The break for the World Cup è was very useful, è it was like being on a retreat and this fostered mutual understanding between coach and players and a steady growth in team building. With him the boys grew and the product that è came out è was interesting and young”.

Closing remark on Champions: “This qualification è unexpected but deserved. I arrived in Bologna that the team was in Serie B, to think today to be in the Champions è something crazy. I hope to meet all the big ones: from Barcelona to Real Madrid so I can see that level" live.
