Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori take revenge and fly to the quarters in Rome

Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori take a rematch over Rohan Bopann and Matthew Ebden. The Azzurri, in fact, who had surrendered to the Indian and the Australian in the final of the Australian Open, this time make no mistake and fly to the quarterfinals of the Internazionali d'Italia. 6-2 6-4 the final score accrued after one hour and thirteen minutes of play.
Bolelli and Vavassori got off to a strong start, snatching the serve from Bopanna in the opening set. The Azzurri confirmed the break (2-0) and repeated it in the seventh game when Ebden surrendered with a double fault. Vavassori closed the score on serve, signing the 6-2 for the Italian pair.
Same script at the start of the second set with Bopanna losing serve. This time forò comes the immediate reaction of the opponents, who get the counter-break (1-1). In the fifth game, forò the Italians go back ahead, taking away Bopanna’s serve again (3-2). In the seventh game even came the double break lead for the Italians (5-2). Vavassori, however, did not close on serve, but Bolelli did not let himself be begged in the tenth game, closing the score on the final 6-4.
At the quarterfinals Bolelli and Vavassori will find on the other side of the net the Dutch Wesley Koolhof and Croatian Nikola Metkic, seventh seed in the seeding, but third in the Race to Turin right behind the Italians.
