F1, Imola: Lando Norris tries but Max Verstappen wins. Ferrari on the podium with Charles Leclerc
F1, Imola: 1° Max Verstappen, 2° Lando Norris, 3° Charles Leclerc
Max Verstappen returns to success this season but the victory in the Gp of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna è anything but a catwalk: the Dutchman of Red Bull, in fact, must withstand the furious comeback of Lando Norris, capable of bringing his McLaren to second place with only 725 thousandths of a second at the finish line.
Rounding out the podium is the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, third just under 8 seconds behind the winner and the protagonist of an excellent race. The Monegasque anticipates the other McLaren, that of Oscar Piastri, and the Rossa of Carlos Sainz, who closes the Top 5 by coming in about 15 seconds behind his teammate.
Sixth and seventh positions for the two Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton finishing ahead of George Russell. Only eighth was Sergio Perez (Red Bull), who paid for a qualifying below expectations. Finishing in points were Lance Stroll, in an Aston Martin, and Yuki Tsunoda, who gives RB a point.
From 11th position onwards we find Nico Hilkenberg (Haas), Kevin Magnussen (Haas), Daniel Ricciardo (RB), Esteban Ocon (Alpine), Guanyu Zhou (Kick Sauber), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Logan Sargeant (Williams), Valtteri Bottas (Kick Sauber) and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin). Alexander Albon (Williams) è the only one not to complete the race, due to technical problems.
