Vero Volley Monza: official confirmation of Fernando Kreling
Through a statement issued on its official channels, MINT Vero Volleyball Monza announced the renewal of Fernando Kreling, who will continue wearing the Brianza jersey in the 2024-2025 season.
"The class and geniusà of Fernando Kreling, aka "Cachopa", will be able to be admired again next season by fans at Monza's Opiquad Arena. The setter from Brazil, currently busy with his national team at the 2024 VNL, will wear the Brianza jersey for the third consecutive year, all to be experienced between SuperLega and – for the first time in the Consortium men's history – CEV Champions League.
After an unlucky first year, conditioned by a knee injury suffered a week before the start of the regular season, and an unforgettable second one, embellished by three Finals played (Coppa Italia, CEV Challenge Cup and Scudetto), Fernando will aim to do even better in his third Monza adventure, both on a personal and team level.
The Monza director, who next season will wearà again the number 14 jersey, boasts in his career many triumphs at club level (23 titles with Sada Cruzeiro, including 3 World Club Championships), national team level (Gold with Brazil at the VNL of Rimini 2021, at the World Cup of Japan 2019, at the South American Championship of Brazil 2021 and Chile 2019, MVP of the South American Club Championship in 2020 and winner of 3 Brazilian titles, 5 Brazil Cups, 3 Brazilian Super Cups, 6 South American Club Championships) and individual (best setter of the 2021 Club World Cup and South American Under-17, 19, 21, 23 Championships, as well as MVP of the 2021 and 2022 South American Club Championships), making him one of the most&ughest setters; complete and strongest setter in the world. Great game vision and golden hands are the main qualities of "Cachopa", MVP on as many as five occasions – between regular season and Playoffs – during the 2023/2024 season in MINT Vero Volley Monza" jersey; this is the note issued by the Brianza club.
