Golf world in shock over Grayson Murray’s death
The Tragedy of Murray
Although in shock, the golf world on Sunday continued its activities, including in Fort Worth: Grayson Murray è was found lifeless on Saturday. The day before, he had withdrawn from the Charles Schwab Challenge tournament he was playing in the Texas resort due to an unspecified illness.
"The PGA Tour è a family and when you lose a member you are no longer the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for his loved ones. I contacted the parents to offer our deepest condolences and during that conversation they asked me to continue with the tournament. They were convinced that the boy would have wanted it that way. As difficult as it may be, we want to respect their wishes" had written in a note Jay Monahan.
Murray è has been an outstanding golfer since his youth, winning three consecutive Callaway World Junior Championships (2006-2008) and distinguishing himself as the best golfer in his age group. Later, unfortunately, problems with alcoholism arose. His last success had been the Sony Open in January, in Hawaii. In 2017 he had won the Barbasol Championship in Kentucky.
