Cesare Prandelli praises Verona and gets out of line on Atalanta's ambitions

During an intervention at the microphones of "Radio Anch'io Sport", former Italian national team coach Cesare Pradelli wanted to take stock of the season of some Serie A clubs, Hellas Verona and Atalanta above all, which were protagonists respectively of an excellent comeback in terms of salvation and a historic triumph in the European field.

"It's been an interesting season from so many points of view: Inter dominated the championship, many even unexpected teams fought for Europe, there were also many disappointments. Until the end of the first half of the season, the teams doomed to relegation seemed already certain. Instead è Sean Sogliano arrived, who revolutionized the team with numerous disposals. In a very short time Baroni è managed to field a very balanced lineup and achieved salvation in full. Compliments must be paid to Verona, because until January they seemed doomed" began the former Fiorentina coach.

"Atalanta has done something extraordinary this season and next year it could do even better. We need to understand the market and what will happen to two or three big players, but I think that if they keep the team intact for another year, they can really think about winning the Scudetto and play for it with Inter,” continued the former coach of the national team.

"Milan did very wrong to send Stefano Pioli away. In five years he has shown seriousness, ability, won a Scudetto, enhanced many players. This year he had a very unlucky season with many injuries and physical problems. Despite the European path definitely below expectations, I would have confirmed him" added the former Atalanta coach.

"In recent years Fiorentina has acquired an important chorality, solidity in the game and the ability to be complete technically. You have to be careful in these finals when they give you as a favorite, especially in the abilityà to be mentally balanced. The Viola è favorite, but let’s all take the odds. We all hope for this victory, to also give the chance to another Italian team to play in Europe next year and make Italian soccer even more of a protagonist this season after Atalanta’s triumph in the Europa League" concluded Cesare Prandelli about the upcoming Conference League final that awaits Fiorentina.
