Arthur Szwarc stays in Monza

For the third consecutive season, the class of Arthur Szwarc will be at the disposal of MINT Vero Volley Monza. The ’Canadian opposite player class’95, a great protagonist of the just concluded sports year, in which he è graduated MVP three times (Modena vs Monza, 3rd day of the first leg, Monza vs Civitanova, Del Monte Coppa Italia, Taranto vs Monza, 4th day of return), he will be available to coach Massimo Eccheli between Italy, in SuperLega Credem Banca, and Europe, in CEV Champions League 2024.

There have been 22 appearances that Szwarc, author of 296 points (11 aces and 34 walls), has collected with the Monza jersey in the 2023/2024 season, all embellished by important plays and excellent turns from nine meters. Currently engaged with the Canadian national team at the 2024 VNL, Szwarc in his career has also worn the Cisterna jersey, from 2019 to 2022. He grew up at’York University, with which he played three seasons, and later with’FTC Team Canada (16/17), his first European experience was in the 17/18 season, in which he played with the French team of’Arago Sete.

Szwarc è was born in Canada to Polish parents (that is why he also has a Polish passport). He started playing as a center, moving to the role of opposite permanently in’the 2021/2022 sports year. He has been part of the Canadian senior selection since 2017, the year of the World League Bronze. Two years later he hit third place in the NORCECA Championship, also being summoned to represent his country at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
