NBA Play-offs: Anthony Edwards saves (for now) Minnesota and forces Game 5
Minnesota saves itself and forces Game 5 with Dallas
As happened in the previous three episodes of the series, Game 4 of the Western Conference finals is also decided by the final point-to-point. However, this time to smile è Minnesota (105-100), which manages to contain Dallas's umpteenth comeback attempt, saving itself from elimination and forcing Game 5.
At home T'Wolves finally shine the two all-stars, namely Edwards and Karl Anthony-Towns. The former immediately loads the team on his shoulders, scoring an impressive 14 points in the first quarter alone. He finishes with 29 points, to which he adds 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Also redeeming himself is the Dominican, who after difficulties in shooting in the first three acts of the series, ends the night with 25 points and a 9/13 from the field.
In the Mavs’ ranks, Luka Doncic’s triple-double of 28 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists is not enough this time. Failing to make an impact, however, was Kyre Irving, who finished with only 16 points and enormous difficulties in shooting.
The Celtics have already reached the NBA Finals, while Dallas will have the second match point in Game 5, which will be played on the night of Thursday 30 and Friday 31 May in Minneapolis.
