The basketball world è in shock at the news of the death of Drew Gordon, a former player among others of Dinamo Sassari, with whom he had won the club’s first historic trophy, the Coppa Italia 2014. As confirmed by his agent, he lost his life last night at age 33 in a car accident that occurred in Portland, Oregon.
Drew Gordon, married with two children, was also the brother of Aaron Gordon, an NBA star who currently plays for the Denver Nuggets (a team with which he won last year's ring) but who also wore the Orlando Magic jersey, becoming famous for his dunks.
"Dinamo Banco di Sardegna joins the condolences of the basketball world for the loss of Drew Gordon, who passed away prematurely,” reads a note. “Drew wore the Dinamo jersey for two seasons from 2013 to 2014, and è was among the protagonists of the victory of the first Coppa Italia: his name will remain forever in the Biancoblu annals. To his family, relatives and friends the closeness and condolences from President Stefano Sardara and the whole club".
