Davis the best in the field, still absent Durant

The Dream Team is in Abu Dhabi for two friendly tests ahead of the upcoming Olympics. Two friendlies to test the health of the group, currently at the center of media attention more for the "Brown" case (not summoned in place of the injured Leonard) than for sporting issues.

The United States won, with enormous effort, the game against Australia (98-92). After reaching a considerable lead (+25), Coach Kerr’s team stopped playing, leaving room for the Australians to get back into the game and come close to a chance to beat them. Positive signs only from Davis (17 points and 14 rebounds) and Booker (16 points).

With Durant still in the pits due to injury, coach Kerr rotated all the players at his disposal, trying different solutions but, in the end, the feeling è that the Dream Team is not yet a cohesive group. Clearer indications will come in the next friendly test, scheduled for Wednesday, 18 against Serbia (also in Abu Dhabi).

Despite a lackluster game, Coach Kerr maintains his usual calm: "We gave up a lot of shots, we didn’t get rebounds and soì the game è changed. However, è it was a good lesson for us. Better that it happened now than later. Let’s say we will have a lot to review", his words reported by ESPN.
