In the second game of Group C of the Paris 2024 Olympic women’s volleyball tournament, Italy convincingly beat the Netherlands 3-0 with a turnover in the opposite position between Ekaerina Antropova, who eventually scored 33 points, and Paola Egonu.
29-27 25-18 25-19 the partials of the sets in favor of the Azzurri who have already earned the pass to the quarterfinals, on Sunday they will play the first place in the group against Turkey.
È Italy led several times in the first set, with a maximum lead of 5 lengths on 15-10, 16-11 and 17-12, but here the Netherlands scored five points in a row and the rest of the partial è point to point and the Azzurri closed on the fourth set point in their favor after also conceding one to their opponents on 24-25.
All’different music in the second set, in which Julio Velasco’s girls immediately go on a 9-2 lead and virtually always keep this margin intact until closing the partial on the third set point. The first part of the third set è balanced but from 11-11 Italy shifts gears with a partial 7-2 and manages to keep the lead until the end.
