At the end of an incredibly balanced match, Italy beat Montenegro 11-9 after penalties in the third match of Group A of the men's Olympic water polo toneo.
The four quarters all ended in ties: 2-2, 4-4, 7-7 and 8-8! In the final penalty shoot-out series, the Settebello è scored three times out of five while the momtenegini only once out of four.
The Azzurri’s next match will be on Saturday against Romania, an obstacle that looks affordable.
