Marc Marquez defends Alex and sends a dig at Pecco Bagnaia
Controversy erupts between Pecco Bagnaia and the Marquez brothers. The two-time MotoGp world champion harshly attacked Alex Marquez, blaming him for the crash during the Aragon Grand Prix. Defending his brother was Marc Marquez, winner of the race and above all Bagnaia’s future partner in the official Ducati team starting next season.
"I saw the incident – said the eight-time world champion at the press conference – For me Pecco è was very optimistic in trying to pass him on the outside trying to use that trajectory, because é if you go on the dirt it all becomes more risky. I think it was just a very unfortunate situation and I hope both of them are okay".
Alex Marquez also responded to Bagnaia’s criticism: "If anyone could have avoided the contact, it was him who had seen me and should not have closed: if he left a meter nothing would have happened and no one fell. I understand that he is playing for a World Championship, which was a good chanceà to get on the podium, I am sorry that we finished our race soì".
"It è not true that I told him off: he è got angry, I am not angry with him; I did not apologize, he did not apologize; I think it is a little bit his fault; he thinks it is my fault. Those are two versions, if we talk it will be in private, not in front of the cameras. I did not even know it was Pecco".
