Anna Kalinskaya’s rant at the Us Open is still causing discussion on social media. The Russian tennis player had a rare outburst of anger during the match she lost to Brazil's Haddad Maia: Jannik Sinner's fiancée was enraged by an error by the umpire, who during the first set awarded a point to her opponent even though the ball had bounced twice on the court.
Kalinskaya asked for and obtained the moviola, which confirmed the referee's error, who nonetheless deemed to concede the point to the Brazilian, to the astonishment of the 25-year-old Muscovite.
