An endless Cristiano Ronaldo drags Portugal’s Croatia, Spain stopped by Serbia

The first day of the 2024/2025 Nations League immediately delivers several emotions and surprises. The Group A1 big match between Portugal and Croatia ended with a narrow victory for the Lusitanians 2-1. The Croatian side managed to shorten the gap at the end of the first half thanks to an own goal by the Manchester United side. Not going beyond 0-0, however, European champion Spain, which failed to break down the wall of Serbia. Bad knockout for Switzerland with Denmark, which found two goals in the last ten minutes of the match.

In Group C1 comes another historic event, namely, the first victory in an official competition by San Marino, which defeated Liechtenstein 1-0 thanks to Sensoli’s goal at 53'.
