After losing in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, the world number one redeemed himself and beat the Russian in four sets with a final score of 6-2 1-6 6-1 6-4. The South Tyrolean hits his first semifinal in New York, where he will face Britain's Jack Draper, who overcame Australia's Alex De Minaur in three sets.
