Alvaro Morata puts derby in crosshairs: "Can't wait"
Alvaro Morata puts the derby in his crosshairs. The new AC Milan striker, who is recovering from a rectus femoris muscle injury he picked up against Torino, is aiming to return to the field soon, to be at the top of his game in the challenge against Inter, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 22, at 8:45 p.m. at San Siro.
"I can't wait to play the derby – admitted the Spaniard to the microphones of Sky Sport -. Now I can say it for the first time: I came to San Siro to see a couple of derbies as a fan, with my little hat and black glasses, no one è realized me. I wanted to breathe in that atmosphere, even from the outside you realize how much this match is worth, I can't wait to have the experience of scoring in a derby and winning it, to make the Milanese feel proud".
"Inter è very competitive, they have a great team, you have to play with heart," added the Spanish national team captain. You may miss a pass or a chance, but you have to give everything on the field," you have to be hungry in a derby, this cannot be missed".
"White hair shows when a player has some experience. I have learned from so many coaches, I have learned from so many teammates, I think I still have the most important 4-5 years of my career, I feel ready to give everything with a very high degree of experience, this è good for me" concluded Morata, who will be 32 next October 23.
