Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) finishes in the lead on Friday of the French Motul Round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours thanks to a 1’36.010 while his boxmate Toprak Razgatlioglu crashes in FP2 but still has the third fastest time at the end of the day.

Unlike what happened in FP1, in FP2 Razgatlioglu è one of the last to take the track and then after just one lap returns to the pits. He re-enters the track and while flying towards the best time he crashes in turn 14-15: for this reason the red flag is shown. 11° crono for Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Team Motocorsa Racing) despite a technical problem in FP2 that però did not prevent him from returning to action in the second part of the session. Half a tenth margin for him on Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) who returns from’injury while Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven), at his first time on this circuit, è 16°.
